Welcome I would like to introduce myself. I have lived and worked with horses all my life. I have competed at eventing, team chasing, hunt scurries and pointing. I have experience with thoroughbreds, young stock, brood mares and race horses. I have also managed my own livery yard for 5 years. At the moment I am retraining my own ex- racehorse to a riding horse! Now I have decided to concentrate on a holistic approach to the equine, as a career. In addition I have decided to go full circle and treat humans which I have qualified for in 2010 from the Witney College of Spinal Therapy. Examples: Many riders need treatment too, as they can cause problems for the horse by sitting crooked and visa-versa. Dog owners get crooked by dogs pulling thier leads which can cause neck problems in the canine. see here for more in depth analysis >>Horse<< >>Dog<< >>Human<< In 2005 I qualified in Equine Sports Massage with an ICAT DIP (Institute of Complimentary Animal Therapies) with distinction. I am the senior vigilator for ICAT . I have passed a diploma to be a spinal therapist for animals September 2009 from the Oxford College of Equine Physical Therapy. (OCEPT) McTimoney-Corley Spinal Therapy is a method of treating mis-aligned bones through manipulation. This has enabled me to treat animals both big and small (from equine to canine). I am currently a member of the Association of Mctimoney-Corley Spinal Therapists (AMCST) I only carry out consultations with clients who have permission from their vet as this is a legal requirement (Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966). Veterinary referral work undertaken. I have professional liability insurance in place. NB Massage & Manipulation therapy is never a replacement for proper veterinary care.
